Construction of the Russian Crab Group logistics complex has begun in the Murmansk Sea Fishing Port. The project will be implemented by SZ-Crab LLC, a resident of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation under an agreement with the Corporation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic. The plan provides for the creation of a refrigeration terminal, a site for refrigerated containers and a specialized pool system for overexposure of live crab.
The implementation of the complex is aimed at consolidating the company's cargo flows, preserving the quality of biological resources and increasing export supplies.
— The construction of the Russian Crab Group logistics complex is a vivid confirmation of the Murmansk Region's growing investment attractiveness in the field of marine logistics and bioresource processing. Thanks to preferential treatment, the region offers businesses understandable conditions, a well-developed port infrastructure and a favorable geographical location that allows them to effectively build supplies to domestic and foreign markets. Each such project not only enhances the industrial potential of the Arctic, but also creates new jobs, expands the tax base and strengthens the region's position as a key hub of the Arctic economy. We will continue to support investors by providing project support and developing the necessary infrastructure," said Svetlana Panfilova, Deputy Governor and Minister of Arctic Development and Economy of the Murmansk Region.
— The new investment project for the construction of a logistics complex in the port of Murmansk is part of an investment program to develop the fishing industry not only in the region, but also with the prospect of scaling its products throughout the country and the possibility of establishing export supplies. This will strengthen and strengthen Murmansk's position in the field of fishing, its storage and transportation, and will contribute to improving the region's economic performance and increasing its investment attractiveness," commented Alexander Shutov, Director of the Murmansk Fishing Company.
The project is part of the broad investment program of the Russian Crab Group: in September 2025, at X At the Eastern Economic Forum, the company announced plans to build three crab vessels and a logistics complex with infrastructure for storing, reloading and transporting seafood harvested in the Northern Fisheries Basin.
