Days of Entrepreneurship start in Murmansk region

The days of entrepreneurship are starting in the Murmansk region. The plans include about 120 events, which will be held in all municipalities of the region.

During the operational meeting, Governor Andrey Chibis stressed that despite the sanctions pressure and difficulties, the Murmansk Region remains an attractive region for doing business. The development of small and medium–sized businesses is one of the priorities of the national program "Live in the North!".

In 2026, comprehensive support for small and medium-sized businesses in the Murmansk Region includes the provision of preferential microloans, the promotion of regional brands and other activities. And of course, grant support remains among the most in demand.

Thus, during the period of the Governor's Start program, 193 projects totaling over 230 million rubles received support.

However, last week, comments from participants appeared online about imperfections in the application acceptance system. This topic was submitted to an operational meeting in the government of the region.

The head of the region thanked the entrepreneurs for their active lifestyle and stressed that such a situation is unacceptable, given that the competition is a real chance for the development of cities, towns and villages.

"The system should be transparent and understandable, and the relevant department and the operator of the competition, the regional innovative business incubator, have provided the necessary support," said Andrey Chibis.

As a result of the discussion, relevant departments were instructed to fine-tune the application acceptance system. On the eve of the Days of Entrepreneurship, this work is especially relevant – participants will not only be able to gain new knowledge, but also directly discuss mechanisms for obtaining government support, taking into account upcoming changes.
