The Murmansk Region Development Corporation and the staff of the Khibiny airport arranged a surprise for a young Murmansk resident – a participant in the charity event "New Year's Miracle" of the Unified Volunteer Center, who dreams of meeting the pilot of the aircraft. The postcard with such a wish was removed from the Christmas tree by the staff of the KRMO.
Partners of the Development Corporation for the implementation of investment projects - the staff of the Khibiny Airport, the Kirov branch of Apatit JSC and the Izovela sanatorium — helped to carry out a New Year's miracle for 11-year-old Vasily from the Zhuravushka Center for Children Left without Parental Care.
Thanks to the joint efforts, the boy, as well as his older brother and sister, went on a trip to the city of Apatity, which the guys will surely remember for the rest of their lives. In the afternoon, they had an excursion at the Khibiny airport and on board the plane. Oleg Nagin, the pilot of Rossiya Airlines, answered all the questions of interest, and the guys also visited the cockpit of the aircraft.
"We usually interact with our partners on the implementation of investment projects, it was unusual and pleasant to work in a new direction and make sure that we can rely on each other in any business. The Development Corporation participates in the "New Year's Miracle" every year, and we believe that fulfilling dreams is no less pleasant than receiving gifts," said Artem Kuksa, General Director of the Murmansk Region Development Corporation.
"The New Year is coming soon, and this is the time when everyone wants to realize all their most cherished desires. And we are glad that we helped the children fulfill such a dream – to see an airplane and communicate with the pilot. Thanks to Rossiya Airlines and the crew of the St. Petersburg-Khibiny flight for the wonderful tour for the guys in the cockpit. Maybe one of them will become an aviator himself in the future," said Sergei Piliponsky, General Director of Khibiny Airport.
Then the children visited the Izovela sanatorium and the Radiance Center for Contemporary Art, and also took part in the opening of the art rink together with TV presenter Andrey Malakhov and the head of the Unified Volunteer Center Evgenia Chibis.
"It is incredible that every year the Northerners do not allow any childhood dream to remain unfulfilled and easily fulfill any desires. It is impressive how many caring people have united to arrange this holiday for Vasily and his family. At this age, it is very important for brothers and sisters to spend more time together, and I am sure this trip will become a warm family memory that they will all remember together every New Year," Evgenia Chibis thanked the participants of the New Year's Miracle campaign.
Recall that within the framework of the traditional charity event "New Year's Miracle" of the United Volunteer Center, caring Northerners fulfill the cherished wishes of children who do not receive gifts from their parents, but live in social institutions of the region – orphanages and child care centers of the Murmansk region. About 422 wards from two dozen social institutions of the Arctic region participate in the project. This year the action is taking place for the 16th time.
Until December 20, anyone can take a postcard from the Christmas trees located in the Plasma shopping center, Volna department store, XFIT Murmansk fitness club, read a wish, purchase a gift and give it to volunteers. On the eve of the New Year holidays, volunteers will deliver all the gifts to the recipients.
