Governor Andrey Chibis, CEO of Russian Railways Oleg Belozerov, Deputy Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Vasily Tens checked the progress of the construction of a railway bridge across the Tuloma
On May 18, a meeting of the coordinating council for the implementation of the project "Integrated Development of the Murmansk Transport Hub" was held on the territory of the installation of the railway bridge across the Tuloma under the leadership of Governor Andrey Chibis. The purpose is to discuss the current status of the implementation of the object, as well as the execution of works on the construction of the railway line art. Day off – Lavna station.

"Thanks to the support of Russian President Vladimir Putin, the necessary funds have appeared for the implementation of the Murmansk transport hub project, work is in full swing. We see the process clearly. I express my gratitude to the subcontractor who mobilized and despite everything performs the necessary amount of work. It is important that about 500 workers are residents of the Murmansk region, and contractors in the region are also involved. This project is of strategic importance for the region and the country. And already now it provides additional jobs, brings efficiency, benefits for the regional budget," Andrei Chibis stressed. 

The head of the region noted that all this makes it possible to implement a large—scale project - the development of the West coast, the development of port infrastructure. Andrey Chibis also expressed gratitude to Oleg Belozerov and Vasily Desyatkov for their effective, scrupulous attention to this project. 

The General Director – Chairman of the Management Board of JSC "Russian Railways" said that all plans for the formation of working groups are being implemented. 

"The work is not just deployed, there is already a positive result of moving the schedule to the left, we are ahead of the curve, certain problems are being successfully solved technically and technologically. Let me remind you that almost 50 km have to be completed, there are 137 artificial structures here, the most impressive structure is the 1300 m bridge. All the metal is already in place, almost 2 thousand workers have arrived here in three months. The construction has been fully deployed," said the General Director — Chairman of the Management Board of Russian Railways. 

Oleg Belozerov recalled that private companies have been working on the project of the railway line to Lavna since 2014, and JSC "Russian Railways" needs to do exactly as much over the next 1.5 years as it was done in previous years. 

"Together with the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation, we have assumed increased obligations, as promised to the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, we will launch a working movement in December of this year," said the General Director of Russian Railways. 

Oleg Belozerov thanked for the attentive attitude to the facility and the active position of Governor Andrey Chibis, the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation. He noted that decisions are made immediately on emerging issues, the algorithm works. 

The Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation acts as a single customer in the person of the Federal State Institution "Rostransmodernization". Deputy Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Vasily Tens said that the facility is provided with all necessary financing. 

"The project is complex, with a length of almost 50 km of railways. The entire workforce is organized, equipment is deployed, even in 2.5 months the contractor completed the work ahead of schedule by 2-3 weeks. This allows you to look positively at the end of the year. Interaction with contractors and the region has been established, working issues are resolved promptly," the deputy minister concluded.

In addition, the participants of the meeting checked the progress of work on the site. The installation of a railway bridge across the Tuloma is the most important object of the Murmansk transport hub. It will allow organizing the nearest railway approaches to the port of Lavna. The project provides for the construction of a railway line with a length of 49.7 km, 137 artificial structures, as well as 2 traction substations. At the moment, metal structures are being prepared for installation, metal structures of superstructures are being assembled, the head is being concreted on the M9 support, the device of inclined piles for the M8 support. The supports are immersed to a depth of 60 m, their height is 34 m, and the spans are 144 and 110 m. By the summer, it is planned to complete the main works: installation and lifting of superstructures. The percentage of readiness is 80%, the work is on schedule. 

Recall that Russian President Vladimir Putin noted the importance of the development of the Murmansk transport hub and the need for accelerated creation. In addition, the Government of the Russian Federation has decided to allocate 37.7 billion rubles for the comprehensive development of the strategic project. The anchor element of the MTU is the port "Lavna". To date, the readiness of the project is about 60%.
