Murmansk region is a leader in attracting investment in the Russian Arctic

The Murmansk region is a leader in attracting investment in the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation. This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Yuri Trutnev at today's meeting of the State Commission on Arctic development. The event was attended by the Governor of the Murmansk region Andrey Chibis.

Yuri Trutnev noted that the creation of a system of preferences allowed investors to make and accelerate investment decisions on such projects as the development of the Fedorova tundra platinum Deposit in the Murmansk region with an investment of 82 billion rubles, the modernization of the Kovdorsky GOK – an investment of 20 billion rubles, the construction of a new bulk cargo terminal in the port of Murmansk – 13.4 billion rubles, as well as the ski complex-the port of Liinahamari with an investment of 12.5 billion rubles.

"Even for the listed projects, it is obvious that the Murmansk region is the leader in attracting investment. It accounts for 39% of investments. I want to thank the Governor for this work, " Yuri Trutnev said.
