The entire regional ecosystem of support will take part in the Entrepreneurship Days, which will start in the Murmansk Region: the Ministry of Tourism and Entrepreneurship, the Entrepreneurship Support Center, the Cluster Development Center, the Murmansk Regional Innovative Business Incubator, the Murmansk Region Development Corporation, ANO Business51, the Heading North project, the Tourist Information Center and others. The head of the relevant department, Marta Govor, spoke about holding the Days of Entrepreneurship in the Murmansk Region in 2026 at an operational meeting today.
"Entrepreneurship Days are a key event for the business community of the region. This is not just a series of events, it is a powerful impetus for the development of competencies, the exchange of experience, the generation of new ideas and, of course, the popularization of the institute of entrepreneurship itself. The whole cycle of events is timed to coincide with the celebration of Russian Entrepreneurship Day on May 26," said Marta Govor.
This year, the comprehensive program will cover about 120 events. Special emphasis is placed on targeted work with territories: "SME-landing" will land in municipalities in order to unite representatives of government authorities, support infrastructure and other organizations in a direct dialogue with business. The program was formed at the request of the entrepreneurs themselves, taking into account the proposals of business associations, municipalities and support infrastructure organizations. In April-May, a broad discussion agenda will unfold: round tables, forums, strategic and communication sessions in the format of live communication and many other events. In addition, meetings with investment commissioners will be held in all municipalities.
"What is important is not the number of meetings held by an authorized investor, but the number of solved problems and business projects launched in the municipality. I ask the Ministry of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of the Murmansk Region to keep such a metric. There are no new projects, which means that the work of the investment officer in the municipality is ineffective. It is important to understand this," commented Governor Andrey Chibis.
The events of the Entrepreneurship Days will be held along thematic tracks.
The educational track will include more than 20 events for beginners and existing entrepreneurs from start-up to scaling. Among them are a seminar on force majeure in Murmansk, an intensive Business in the Arctic in Monchegorsk, trainings on AI and social entrepreneurship. The online program "FCS Business Start" with mentors starts from April 6 to 20.
Special attention is paid to youth entrepreneurship. The track will host about 40 events: business games, quizzes, meetings with successful entrepreneurs, and for preschoolers and schoolchildren – lessons on "First steps in entrepreneurship", family workshops "My mother is an entrepreneur", business quests.
The creative industries and own brand development track will combine fairs, photo exhibitions, creative meetings and workshops. The central events will be the Spring Kaleidoscope and May Time fairs in Apatity, the City of Masters exhibition in Snezhnogorsk, and the Victory Day holiday fair in Kirovsk. A video presentation workshop "15 seconds that sell" will be held in Murmansk for the self-employed and small businesses.
A separate in-depth program has been prepared for women entrepreneurs in the region: not just business meetings, but a space for the exchange of energy and experience. Key meetings will be held in Polyarnoye and Monchegorsk, including within the framework of the "Baby in the North" project.
The Days of Entrepreneurship will culminate in an expanded meeting of the Council for the Export and Development of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises under the Government of the Murmansk Region, which will be held on May 26. Entrepreneurs will be able to ask questions directly to the head of the region, Andrey Chibis, discuss current issues and propose initiatives to improve the business climate. The event will be held in person in Murmansk with the possibility of connecting via a teleconference for municipalities. The event will also include a solemn awarding ceremony for the winners of the Governor's Start and Entrepreneur of the Year contests.
