Murmansk Region Development Corporation participated in the conference "EAEU. Investments Without Borders" is the first event bringing together the investment development agencies of the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union. The event was held in Minsk and was attended by more than a hundred experts in attracting and supporting investments from Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia, as well as guests from Uzbekistan and China.
During the event, Artem Kuksa, Director General of the Murmansk Region Development Corporation, signed a memorandum of cooperation between the EAC investment agencies. The document is aimed at jointly developing a favorable investment climate in the participating regions. Development agencies and free economic zones of several regions of the Russian Federation, the Republic of Belarus, Armenia and Kazakhstan joined the memorandum.
In addition, Artyom Kuksa took part in specialized sessions dedicated to the development of infrastructure for investment projects and the improvement of public-private partnership mechanisms in the EAEU countries.
Also, in continuation of the cooperation agreement concluded in 2024, the Murmansk Region Development Corporation held talks with the National Agency for Investment and Privatization of the Republic of Belarus, during which general plans were outlined.
"During the year that we have been cooperating with the National Agency for Investment and Privatization of the Republic of Belarus, we have managed to establish a dialogue. Our corporation is actively sharing its experience in PPP, as this area is only gaining momentum among colleagues. In turn, we are interested in the experience of creating an industrial park with foreign partners, as it was done on the territory of the Great Stone in Minsk. The Republic of Belarus is one of the Murmansk Region's main foreign partners, and the joint task of our development agencies is to strengthen cooperation in the field of business and mutual investments. During this working trip, we were convinced of the steady business interest in our region and today we agreed that the National Agency for Investment and Privatization of the Republic of Belarus will become our guide in communicating with business, which will strengthen confidence in our region," said Artyom Kuksa.
The key event of the conference was the signing of a memorandum of cooperation between the development agencies and technoparks of the Republic of Belarus, Armenia, Kazakhstan and the Russian regions. The document provides for joint work on proposals to stimulate mutual investments in the economies of the EAEU countries and increase their attractiveness to businesses. The Murmansk Region Development Corporation has also joined the memorandum.
"Of course, the member countries of any union are interested in attracting investments primarily to their territories, there is no escape from competition. But besides competition, there is also a place for cooperation. And the main role in it is played by the interaction of investment agencies and development institutions – for the exchange of experience and best practices, for cooperative projects and proposals for measures to stimulate mutual investments. These ideas are reflected in the memorandum that was signed today. We hope that other agencies and development corporations will join it later," said Elena Perminova, First Deputy Director of the National Agency for Investment and Privatization of the Republic of Belarus.
