A working meeting was held in Moscow between the Governor of the Murmansk Region, Andrey Chibis, and the President of Norilsk Nickel, Vladimir Potanin, during which the parties discussed cooperation following the signing of an agreement on socio-economic cooperation.
Governor Andrey Chibis thanked Vladimir Potanin and the entire team of Norilsk Nickel for active and well-coordinated cooperation with the region.
"In any situation, even the most difficult, colleagues meet us halfway, and we work out clearly," the head of the Murmansk region stressed.
Vladimir Potanin highly appreciated the investment climate of the region.
"Friendly, effective in terms of attracting investments: the Murmansk region has one of the best investment climates in our country. In such an interaction, it is much easier to achieve results. We plan to place new projects that we have in the Murmansk region. We do everything that is suitable for the region with great pleasure, and we will do it. We intend to develop and design the production of materials necessary for the production of batteries together with Rosatom. And most likely we will do it at the Monchegorsk industrial site due to its production readiness and the readiness of the region to support us in every possible way," the head of Norilsk Nickel stressed.
Vladimir Potanin also noted that cooperation between the Murmansk Region and Norilsk Nickel can be considered an excellent example of public-private partnership.
"We are developing cooperation both in the field of personnel training and in the field of sports events, we are ready to support the initiatives of the region and in terms of improving Murmansk as a successfully developing capital of the Arctic, necessary for the whole country. And in the spiritual sphere, education. You, Andrey Vladimirovich, can always count on us as a company to support all your initiatives," the president of the company stressed.
