The development of ship repair and shipbuilding

Murmansk oblast is the starting point for navigation along the Northern sea route (NSR). To ensure transport 80 million tons of cargo via the NSR may be built about 100 new vessels. In this regard, special role in the development of the Murmansk region ship repair and shipbuilding.

Currently, the repair of marine cargo vessels (tankers, bulk carriers, container ships, LNG carriers) in the Murmansk region is possible only partially. Enterprises can carry out the repair only relatively small ships with tonnage of up to 29 tons and a length of 220 m. the New tankers and bulkers to transport on SMP (more than 240 m in length) can carry out repair only "35 shipyard" JSC "CA "Asterisk" after the upgrade the dock or dry docks CSCS (PJSC "NOVATEK-Murmansk"). However, "35 SRZ" significantly loaded under the state defense order, and repair of the civil courts is limited. Option for the development of this direction can be the completion of the dry dock at "82 SRZ".
Other promising directions of development of ship repair and shipbuilding in Murmansk region acts as a deep modernization of production assets of JSC "10 SRZ" with the aim of creating a modern and high-tech ship-repair complex maintenance-civil fleet, and the establishment of a modern shipbuilding complex. The territory of the JSC "10 SRZ" (part of JSC "USC") allows you to create a fishery with the performance of work for the unloading and re-stuffing of cargo, base on repair of ships, construction of medium-duty vessels. During the period of unloading and re-stuffing of cargo there is a possibility of repairing vessels.
