In the coming days, a delegation from the Murmansk Region will be working in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District. A visiting meeting of the Commission of the State Council of the Russian Federation on the Northern Sea Route and the Arctic will be held in Salekhard under the chairmanship of Governor Andrey Chibis.
The program of the visit includes a working meeting between Andrey Chibis and the Governor of the Yamalo–Nenets Autonomous District Dmitry Artyukhov, as well as the signing of an agreement on cooperation between the two regions.
In addition, a delegation led by Governor Andrey Chibis will visit a number of industrial and educational tourist sites, including the Obskoi Pier Industrial Park, the Arctic Research Center, the Yamal Multidisciplinary College, and the Yamal Arena sports Complex.
The Commission of the State Council of the Russian Federation on the Northern Sea Route and the Arctic was established by Decree of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin in July 2024. Andrey Chibis, Governor of the Murmansk Region, was appointed Chairman of the commission. The participants are the heads of the Arctic regions, representatives of government, various departments, organizations and institutions. Efforts for the integrated development of the Arctic territories and the Transarctic Transport Corridor have been consolidated at the commission's site.
