In Murmansk, on Kola Avenue, the construction of a pre-built sports and recreation complex with a swimming pool and a gym continues. The Ministry of Construction of the Murmansk Region reported on the progress of work at the facility.
"The contractor has already developed a foundation pit, filled in the foundation plate and started reinforcing and shuttering vertical structures. I must admit that the work is lagging behind the original schedule. This is due to the need to adjust the project documentation, which took some time and led to a delay in the schedule. It is planned that the construction will be completed in 2027," said Alexander Karpova, Minister of Construction of the Murmansk Region.
The new swimming pool on Kolsky Avenue is being built under a concession agreement and is being implemented by the government of the Murmansk Region in cooperation with the Pool on Kolsky Company. The future sports and recreation complex will include a gym, a large and small swimming pool, as well as the necessary auxiliary facilities.
In 2025, Severomorsk hosted the opening of the Severomorets swimming pool, built on behalf of Russian President Vladimir Putin, and construction of a modular swimming pool in Roslyakovo continues in Murmansk.
