Applications for the first contest Pitching investment startups of the Murmansk region have been accepted

On June 10, applications for the first contest "Pitching investment startups in the Murmansk region" were accepted. In total, more than 20 applications were submitted — projects cover a wide range of economic sectors: from industry and manufacturing to education and information technology.

Tatiana Lyashchuk, Acting Minister of Arctic Development and Economy of the Murmansk Region, commenting on the results of the bid campaign, stressed: "We see a lively response from the participants. More than 20 applications are a good start for a new support tool. The projects proposed by the participants cover almost all spheres of the region's life — from the creation of innovative materials production facilities to modern sports complexes, IT platforms and educational centers with a creative bent. This is exactly what the region needs to diversify its economy and improve people's quality of life."

The finalists who will be pre-selected will present their projects to the expert commission on June 27 in Murmansk. On the same day, the jury will determine the winners. The best initiatives will have the opportunity to be professionally refined together with the Murmansk Region Development Corporation and the region's investment team, and will also be presented to potential investors at a presentation in Moscow at the end of the year.

Among the criteria for evaluating projects are the quality of the business plan, public presentation and the social significance of the initiatives for the development of the region.
