Elena Nesterovich became the head of the Murmansk Region Development Corporation

Elena Nesterovich has been appointed General Director of the Murmansk Region Development Corporation. Previously, she served as First Deputy General Director of the Corporation, where she oversaw the investment unit and operational support for regional projects ranging from industry to tourism, including through the use of public-private partnerships.

Elena Nesterovich is a native of Olenegorsk, graduated from Murmansk Pedagogical University (now UIA) with a degree in economics and mathematics and is fully immersed in the regional specifics of the Murmansk region and the Arctic. Since 2018, she has held senior positions in construction, IT, retail and investment development in the region.

"Elena Nesterovich's appointment is a bet on her own, a proven manager who was born, raised and built a career in the Murmansk region. She knows the economy of the region from the inside, has led real projects as the first deputy of the Corporation and in business," said Andrey Chibis, Governor of the Murmansk Region.

Under the leadership of Elena Nesterovich, projects are being implemented to create new tourist facilities, develop port infrastructure, as well as develop and extract deposits of strategic raw materials. Investment lots have been formed and put on the market in industry, tourism, logistics and sports. Effective cooperation has been established between government authorities, municipalities and investors.

In turn, Artyom Kuksa, who previously served as CEO of the Murmansk Region Development Corporation, has been appointed First Deputy Minister of Arctic Development and Economy of the Murmansk Region. In his new role, he will be responsible for attracting investors to the region at the government level.

Murmansk Region Development Corporation JSC was established on the initiative of the Murmansk Region Government in 2013, and in 2019 it received the official status of a specialized organization for attracting investments and working with investors in the region.
