The first regional investment startup competition has ended in Murmansk, during which aspiring and existing entrepreneurs presented their business project ideas to the Murmansk Region government team. Now the authors of the winning projects will have the right to present them to potential investors at the presentation of promising investment projects in the Murmansk region.
The Murmansk Region Development Corporation, with the support of the regional government, is holding the investment startup competition for the first time. Its purpose is to identify promising investment projects and business ideas to assist in their implementation. During May, applications were accepted on the Investment Portal of the Murmansk region. The organizers received 960 responses. In the final, the participants defended 20 projects in the pitching format: short public speeches. Each speaker had only 5 minutes to make the expert commission, representatives of the Murmansk Region government team and business associations led by Svetlana Panfilova, Deputy Governor and Minister of Arctic Development and Economy of the Murmansk Region, fall in love with their project.
"Such events allow us to receive feedback and really understand how the business community of the Murmansk region lives today: those who are already and those who are just going to become an entrepreneur. Our goal is to form strong entrepreneurial teams and select promising projects, which the Murmansk Region Development Corporation will then support: it will help in finding investors and other sources of financing, including funds from various funds. As a result, the competitors presented to the jury projects for the creation of tourist complexes from Pechenga to Kandalaksha districts, production of carbonated drinks in Murmansk, a padel center in Monchegorsk, a suburban training center and other projects. Following the results of the competition, the authors of the 12 winning projects will receive personal curators at the Murmansk Region Development Corporation for further "packaging" and preparing them for presentation to potential investors.

Today we have seen that creative and enterprising entrepreneurs live in our region, with excellent and thoughtful business ideas.
