
Governor Andrey Chibis held a working meeting with the Head of the Federal Agency for Maritime and River Transport (Rosmorrechflot) By Andrey Tarasenko. The parties discussed the loading of the Murmansk port, cargo turnover, as well as further development prospects.
"I am glad to welcome you to Murmansk, especially on such a solemn occasion related to new rescue vessels - this is extremely important, taking into account the projects for the development of the Northern Sea Route, the tasks outlined by President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, taking into account those projects that have already been launched, including the port Lavna and other destinations. Considering that the Arctic transport corridor is a 21st-century project for the country, everything related to the fleet, port and rescue infrastructure is a priority. Thank you for your fruitful cooperation and support, and I am sure that our joint work will continue to yield good results," the governor said.
Andrey Tarasenko thanked the head of the region for the joint work and stressed that the port infrastructure in the Murmansk region is actively developing, and this is a great achievement of the regional team.
"In fact, a lot of help is coming from the region, from you, to the fleet and the port infrastructure, it has begun to develop on a large scale, especially in Murmansk. I believe that this is due to the energy and strength that you put in. There is an increase in the capacity of seaports, a systematic alignment of logistics, an increase in carrying capacity, as well as an increase in jobs. All this allows us to look forward with optimism. Rosmorrechflot and the region are involved in all processes, and together we will fulfill all the tasks set," said Andrey Tarasenko.
It should be noted that today, during a visit to the Murmansk Region, Andrey Tarasenko, head of Rosmorrechflot, and Viktor Chernov, head of the Maritime Rescue Service, got acquainted with the construction of the fleet maintenance base of the Northern Branch of the Marine Rescue Service. The facility will be completed within the framework of the federal project "Development of the Great Northern Sea Route" of the national project "Efficient Transport System" in 2029. The authority of the developer of the infrastructure facilities of the fleet maintenance base in Murmansk is performed by the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Rostransmodernization".
