Andrey Chibis, Governor of the Murmansk Region, held a working meeting with Daniil Egorov, Head of the Federal Tax Service. The parties discussed working together to increase tax revenues to the consolidated budget of the region.
Opening the working meeting, Governor Andrey Chibis thanked the tax service and Daniil Egorov for their cooperation with the government of the Murmansk Region, stressing that the implemented digital programs allow Northern taxpayers to solve many tax issues online.
"The Tax Service is at the forefront of the digital process, and this definitely makes it much more efficient. The current situation in the country, which is associated with objective difficulties due to sanctions pressure, of course, encourages us to look even more carefully and in detail at tax collection and where there are new growth points for replenishing the budget. We work closely together on these issues, and thank you very much for that. Special thanks to you personally for your prompt response to complex issues that need to be addressed with the legitimacy of certain actions of taxpayers," said Andrey Chibis.
The head of the region stressed that the Murmansk Region is a special economic zone where investors enjoy special tax regulation regimes.
"We are all interested in, on the one hand, having the necessary incentives for investment, and we are doing this – we have a preferential tax regime; on the other hand, we are, of course, interested in ensuring that everything is transparent and budget revenues are replenished, including by increasing the number of taxpayers." – the governor emphasized.
In turn, Daniil Egorov, head of the Federal Tax Service, noted that the Murmansk Region is one of the most transparent and well–functioning regions in the tax sphere.
"Transparency of the economy is a key task of the tax service. This is the only way we can honestly and accurately perform the functions assigned to us. According to all indicators, for which I would like to thank the government of the region, you personally and taxpayers, the Murmansk Region has the best indicator of transparency of the tax environment," said Daniil Egorov.
