In Murmansk, Governor Andrey Chibis received a delegation from the Consul General of Korea in St. Petersburg, Ms. Park Ji-eun, as part of the diplomat's acquaintance with the subjects of the Russian Federation that are part of her consular district.
The main topic of the meeting was the advantages of the Murmansk Region as a key Arctic territory of Russia. The Consul General noted great interest in the region both in terms of logistical opportunities and in the context of developing cooperation in tourism and science.
"Murmansk is the main port of the Northern Sea Route, a key section of the Transarctic transport corridor. Navigating it is a key intersection of our interests. This is one of the safest and most promising routes in the world, an important growth point for building international cooperation," said Andrey Chibis.
