Gubernatorial start: acceptance of applications has started

A competitive selection process has been launched as part of the Gubernatorial Start business initiative support program. The start date for accepting applications was announced by Governor Andrey Chibis at the traditional final press conference. The selection is carried out on the Support Portal https://promote .budget.gov.ru/.

Applications can be submitted by individual entrepreneurs, legal entities and self-employed Northerners, as well as individuals who only dream of starting their own business (in case of winning the competition, an individual must register as an SME or self-employed).

This year, for the first time, the grant can be used to purchase a franchise and pay for services related to the implementation of an innovative project.

In addition, the list of priority categories of projects has been expanded. So, projects from the tourism industry, as well as initiatives to increase the birth rate, can now apply for a grant of up to 2 million rubles, and up to 1 million rubles can be received for the development of regional brands.

Support has also been maintained for the previous categories of priority projects. Thus, up to 2 million rubles can be received, including for the opening of cafes, canteens, coffee shops; the creation of centers for household and social services; the launch of creative spaces and coworking spaces; projects in towns, single-industry towns, remote and border settlements. Up to 1 million rubles, including for the implementation of projects in the field of sports, recreation and entertainment; in the field of agriculture and manufacturing, as well as projects of large families and citizens under 35 years of age.

The total amount of support under the competition in 2026 will amount to 50 million rubles.

Applications for the Governor's Start competition are accepted by the Murmansk Regional Innovative Business Incubator (https://mribi.ru /). For more information, please call (8152)43-29-49. In addition, in early February, specialists from GOBU MRIBI will traditionally hold a free webinar for entrepreneurs, where they will talk about the conditions for obtaining a grant and submitting an application, about the specifics of applying for a competitive selection, and also give recommendations on preparing a project implementation plan.

The Governor's Start program is being implemented as part of the strategic plan "Live in the North!" Over six years, more than 190 entrepreneurs have received support under the program in the amount of about 232 million rubles.
