
A working meeting was held in Moscow between Maxim Oreshkin, Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of Russia, and Andrey Chibis, Governor of the Murmansk Region. The main topics of discussion were the renovation of closed administrative-territorial formations, the development of the Northern Sea Route and the main settlements of the Arctic, as well as preparations for the International Arctic Forum, which will be held in Murmansk for the first time on March 26-27 under the motto "Live in the North!".
"We have a clear understanding of the goals and objectives in each of the areas, and most importantly, specific achievements and plans that we regularly share with our federal colleagues. It is important that our initiatives are supported at the highest level," said Andrey Chibis.
The head of the region thanked Maxim Oreshkin for supporting the initiatives of the Murmansk Region government aimed at the development of the Arctic. According to him, this makes it possible to accelerate the implementation of strategically important projects, attract new investments to the region, create conditions for economic growth and improve the quality of life of northerners.
