In the final of the III All-Russian award "Tourist Cities", held on February 27-28 in Kasimov, Murmansk received several awards at once.:
⁃ Grand Prix in the nomination "City of tourist brands (capital)";
2nd place in the nomination "City of popular Science tourism";
2nd place in the nomination "City of gastronomic tourism";
2nd place among business tourism cities with a population of up to 1 million .
In addition, Monchegorsk was awarded the diploma for 1st place in the nomination "City of tourist brands (with a population of up to 1 million)".
The All-Russian Prize "Tourist Cities" is awarded annually to municipalities or individual settlements based on the results of an open competition. It is aimed at the development and promotion of domestic tourism and the hospitality industry.
This year, 387 projects from 70 regions were submitted for participation in the award. The shortlist includes 293 projects.
