Russian President Vladimir Putin visited The center for the construction of large-tonnage offshore structures "NOVATEK-Murmansk" in Belokamenka.
Explanations were given by Leonid Mikhelson, Chairman of the Management Board of PJSC NOVATEK, and the head of state was also accompanied by Alexander Gutsan, Presidential Plenipotentiary Representative in the Northwestern Federal District, and Andrey Chibis, Governor of the Murmansk Region.
The President inspected the workshops of the enterprise, got acquainted with the construction of the second technological line of natural gas liquefaction on gravity-type bases (OGT).
The center is currently constructing gas liquefaction lines for NOVATEK's second large–capacity project, Arctic LNG-2. The finished lines will be towed to the resource base and prepared infrastructure on the Gydan Peninsula (Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug).
The center has no analogues in the world. On its basis, world-class technologies for the production of liquefied natural gas are being localized in Russia. Hundreds of Russian enterprises are involved in the production of technological lines, more than 80 thousand jobs have been created throughout Russia, including more than 17 thousand jobs in the Murmansk region. Some of the high-tech products of Russian manufacturers were created specifically for this project.
