The architecture of the business program of the International Arctic Forum "The Arctic – the territory of dialogue", which will be held on March 26-27 in Murmansk under the motto "Live in the North!", has been published on the official website. The Forum is organized by the Roscongress Foundation with the support of the Government of the Russian Federation.
"The interest of the world community in the Arctic is growing every year. And it is growing in a wide range of countries, including those that do not have access to the Arctic Ocean. Due to the current geopolitical conditions, international cooperation in the Arctic requires a reset. The Arctic Council, the former leading platform for international cooperation, is practically not working. New communication formats are needed. We propose to discuss global issues of Arctic development at the Arctic – Territory of Dialogue forum in Murmansk. We hope that he will intensify international contacts, attract new investors to the Arctic territories, and once again demonstrate our country's openness to cooperation and partnership in various areas," said Yuri Trutnev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation and Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District.
The IAF-2025 business events are divided into four thematic blocks: "The Arctic and the NSR: how to win the competition of world routes", "The Arctic and the NSR: the pole of attracting investments", "The Arctic and the NSR: the development of anchor settlements", "International cooperation and ecology".
"The business program of the International Arctic Forum reflects the key directions and priorities of Russia's state policy in the Far North. The discussions focused on attracting investments in infrastructure projects, prospects for the development of the Northern Sea Route as a strategic transport route, improving the quality of life of people, ensuring environmental safety in the region, as well as promoting the principles of sustainable development of territories taking into account the interests of indigenous peoples. The Forum's agenda reflects a comprehensive approach to solving the challenges facing Russia in the Arctic region, taking into account long-term prospects. I am convinced that the Forum will contribute to the creation of new mechanisms for the development of the northern latitudes, consolidate Russia's status as a leading Arctic power and allow us to develop new formats for international dialogue on a fair and mutually beneficial basis," said Anton Kobyakov, Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation, Executive Secretary of the IAF–2025 Organizing Committee.
