A meeting of the business community with government representatives was held in Murmansk, dedicated to changes in the procedure for calculating rent for land plots. The event was attended by Ksenia Zinatullina, Deputy Governor of the Murmansk Region and Minister of Justice of the region.
The round table was attended by business representatives, residents of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation (AZRF), Commissioner for the Protection of Entrepreneurs' Rights Marta Govor, Head of the Federal Register Office for the Murmansk Region Anna Boyko, as well as experts in the field of land relations from the regional minimushchestvo. The event was also attended by representatives of the Corporation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic and the Murmansk regional branch of Opora Russia. The main topic of discussion was a new methodology for calculating land rents and providing business benefits.
The meeting participants discussed key aspects of the new methodology, including the principles of rent pricing, applicable coefficients and criteria for obtaining benefits. Special attention was paid to the transition period for already concluded lease agreements, as well as the possibilities of optimizing the cost of renting land.
"The dialogue between government and business plays a key role in creating conditions for sustainable economic growth and development of our region. The new rent calculation methodology is aimed at ensuring fairness and transparency in relations between the state and tenants. It is important that the changes are understandable and acceptable to all parties, so such events allow us to jointly find optimal solutions and take into account the interests of all participants in the process," said Ksenia Zinatullina.
The new rules for calculating rents came into force on January 1, 2025. A special feature of the new methodology is a unified approach to determining the amount of rent throughout the Murmansk region and a wide range of benefits for both citizens and businesses.
