
A delegation from the Murmansk Region, led by Governor Andrey Chibis, will take part in the Arctic Regions 2025 forum, which will be held in Arkhangelsk. Discussions, expert sessions, and a cultural program are scheduled from July 31 to August 1.
On July 31, at 10.00 a.m., the head of the Murmansk Region will take part in a joint meeting of the commissions of the State Council of the Russian Federation on International cooperation and export and the Northern Sea Route and the Arctic. The key topic is the development of the port infrastructure of the Russian Arctic to ensure the functioning of the Transarctic Transport Corridor and increase the export potential of the regions. Igor Levitin, Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation and Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for International Cooperation in the field of transport, will take part in the joint meeting.; Alexey Chekunkov, Minister of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic; Vladimir Panov, Special Representative of the Rosatom State Corporation for Arctic Development. Recall that on behalf of President Vladimir Putin, Andrei Chibis heads the Arctic commission, which includes heads of subjects, representatives of federal authorities, various companies, organizations and institutions.
On the same day, the governor will speak at the plenary session "International cooperation – Partnership for the future of the Arctic."
Deputy Governor Alexandra Kondaurova will represent the Murmansk Region at the session "Arctic Tourism: Design and potential, new opportunities for autotourism for the Arctic regions", as well as a workshop on the participation of Arctic regions in the federal project "Five Seas and Lake Baikal".
Daria Klimova, Head of the Urban Development Center, will speak at the strategy session "Personnel shortage: designing a social space for a highly qualified specialist in the Arctic region" and will talk about the experience of attracting people to work in the Murmansk Region.
Artem Kuksa, General Director of the Murmansk Region Development Corporation, will participate in the session "500 years of the Northern Sea Route as a national transport highway."
In addition, on August 1, the delegation of the region will work at the workshop "Cases for attracting investments to the regions of the Russian Arctic."
It should be noted that the Arctic– Regions forum is being held for the third time. This year, its main topic will be the development of international cooperation and strengthening ties between the Arctic regions, as well as strategic issues of federal importance for the development of the regions of the Russian Arctic.
