Governor Andrey Chibis held a working meeting with representatives of the Eco Shipping shipping company. The parties discussed the implementation of joint projects and prospects for cooperation.
The head of the region stressed that the Murmansk Region is a strategically important region for the country, an outpost of Russia in the North and the flagship of the economic development of the Arctic.
"We have significant industrial, transport and logistics potential, which plays a key role in the development of the Northern Sea Route and the entire Arctic transportation system. Eco Shipping is already actively operating in the Murmansk Region. Last October, we signed a cooperation agreement to create favorable conditions for doing business, developing investment activities, industrial production, and creating new jobs. There is a set of collaborative approaches. Today we will also discuss further steps," said Andrey Chibis.
Eco Shipping is one of the leaders of the Russian shipping industry with many years of experience in complex marine logistics and a modern fleet capable of operating in the most difficult Arctic conditions. In recent years, the company's fleet has been replenished with tugboats operating in the waters of the port of Murmansk, and a number of logistics solutions have been implemented in the interests of the region's leading industrial enterprises. During the meeting, the participants also discussed the implementation of projects for the development of port infrastructure, initiatives to ensure the growth of the NSR cargo turnover.
