Two projects in the Polar Dawns were supported by the Governors Start grant

Thanks to the support of the Governor's Start grant, two new projects have been launched in Polar Dawns this year: a self–service outdoor coffee shop "In the North - drink coffee" and a family coffee shop "North for Love". Both entrepreneurs won the competition in 2025.

"The idea came up to open a self-service coffee shop so that residents of the North and tourists could come in to warm up and drink hot drinks at any time. The project was implemented with the help of the Governor's Start, which helped me a lot!" said entrepreneur Anton Pavlov, the author of one of the winning projects.

The Governor's Start program is being implemented as part of the governor's plan "Live in the North!" and is one of the most sought–after support measures.

Applications for the current year's competition are accepted until March 4. They can be submitted by individual entrepreneurs, legal entities and self-employed Northerners, as well as individuals who only dream of starting their own business (in case of winning the competition, an individual must register as an SME or self-employed).

This year, for the first time, the grant can be used to purchase a franchise and pay for services related to the implementation of an innovative project. In addition, the list of priority categories of projects has been expanded.
