At an operational meeting in the regional government, Artem Kuksa, Director General of the Murmansk Region Development Corporation, presented the rating of the activity of investment authorities for the previous quarter, as well as the final results for 2023.
According to the results of the new rating, in the fourth quarter of 2023, assistance to investors and entrepreneurs in the implementation of investment projects was most actively provided by the investment authorities of the city of Murmansk, Kandalaksha district, BUT Alexandrovsk.
The most active investment commissioners during 2023 were representatives of the administrations of the Kola district, Murmansk and BUT Alexandrovsk.
One of the main effects of the activities of the investment authorities in the territories is the influx of new investment projects that provide new jobs and tax deductions to the budget. In the fourth quarter of 2023, 17 new residents of the Russian Arctic appeared in the Murmansk region. In total, the number of residents increased by 51 units in 2023. In terms of the number of residents among the nine Arctic regions of Russia, the Murmansk Region retains leadership.
In order to improve the competencies of the investment and municipal teams, the Development Corporation regularly conducts training programs. So, in 2023, 2 modules of the School of Investment Officers were conducted with the involvement of federal teachers. During which practical classes were held on interaction with investors and analysis of investment opportunities in the regions.
"Professional development of investment commissioners is important to improve the quality of local investment process management and create a unified team in the region. At the end of March, we will hold another educational module of the School of Investment Commissioners, the main topic of which will be the support of investment projects in municipalities, taking into account the implementation of FIG 2.0. and the municipal investment standard," said Artem Kuksa.
