The Growth Platform program has been launched in the Murmansk Region, which will involve various companies from the Kola Arctic Region — manufacturers of clothing, jewelry, food, dietary supplements and other goods. They will receive support and promotion support in the e-commerce market, in particular, on the Wildberries platform.

As part of the International Arctic Forum, Tatiana Kim, head of the united Wildberries and Russ company, met with the program participants. During the event, a presentation of regional business products was held, and participants learned about the success stories of Russian brands and business opportunities within the framework of the Growth Platform project and the Know Our Russian Brands competition.

At the exhibition, representatives of various industries demonstrated the uniqueness and diversity of the Murmansk Region's brands: cosmetics with gifts from the Barents Sea, food with a northern flavor, designer clothing appropriate to the climate, children's books and innovative educational products, Sami-style fish skin products, and outlandish Arctic souvenirs that can compete with foreign brands.

The Commissioner for the Protection of the Rights of Entrepreneurs of the Murmansk Region, Marta Govor, noted the region's willingness to support the development of regional brands.

"Today, due to the withdrawal of many Western suppliers from the Russian market, entrepreneurs have a good chance to declare the quality of their products, occupy a worthy niche in the market and gain consumer trust. And in this endeavor, they can count on regional support, such as, for example, the Governor's Start financing program, a grant for the purchase of a franchise, preferential loans, as well as support for the promotion of local brands," said Marta Govor.

It should be noted that the Murmansk region is a reliable producer of high–quality products from natural raw materials of wild fish, deep-sea algae, sea urchins. Due to the variety of natural resources, the region is famous for high-quality fresh seafood, products from wild berries, marine collagen, Omega-3, fish oil, various superfoods, Arctic honey, accessories made of amethysts, reindeer horn, fish skin and many others.

The brands that took part in the show impressed the guests with the originality of the North, reflecting the peculiarities and flavor of the region.

Some brands in the Kola Arctic are already presenting their products on the Wildberries marketplace, while others are just beginning to consider this possibility, which in the future may contribute to business growth and development.
