The upcoming international forum and exhibition "occupational Safety and health BIOT-2020" will be held online for the first time in its 24-year history. The dates remain unchanged - from December 8 to December 11, 2020.
The decision to change the format of BIOT-2020 was made after a series of consultations with key exhibitors, taking into account the unfavorable situation associated with the spread of COVID – 19 coronavirus infection.
Given the critical role played by occupational safety and personal protective equipment in the current conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic, the BIOT 2020 organizing Committee emphasizes the importance of the forum and continues to actively work on its preparation.
In the near future, the website of the forum BIOTEXPO.ONLINE will be launched, where the program of upcoming online events will be presented. Thanks to the wide possibilities of the Internet platform, participants will be able to complete the registration procedure and plan the schedule of meetings, business negotiations and presentations, schedule attendance at conferences and seminars of the forum's business program, which is given special importance this year.
The exhibition will also be displayed in virtual pavilions. It will feature stands of all key enterprises in the PPE industry.
BIOT-2020 is traditionally organized by the Ministry of labor and social protection of the Russian Federation and the Association of developers, manufacturers and suppliers of personal protective equipment (ASIZ).
According to Vladimir Kotov, President of the PPE Association, for the first time in the entire difficult period of the pandemic, a unique opportunity is provided for a broad discussion of the economic situation on the labor market. New meanings of the concept of "occupational Safety and health", which now include the medical aspect, open up a wide field for developing mechanisms and rules by which society and the state will live, at least in the next decade.
As part of the business program, a number of sessions and panels will be held in the video conference format, which will be attended by heads of Federal Executive authorities – the Ministry of labor, the Ministry of industry and trade, the social insurance Fund, Rosstandart, Rostrud, Rospotrebnadzor, as well as heads and top managers of major industrial enterprises, leading Russian and foreign experts. Major corporations and employers such as Russian technologies, Russian Railways, Gazprom and others will present their programs and events within the framework of BIOT-2020.
