At a meeting of the Government of the Murmansk region, Acting Mayor Olga Ostrovetskaya reported on the socio-economic development of the city of Monchegorsk.
Monchegorsk is a single-industry entity, the city-forming enterprise JSC Kola MMC is steadily operating on the territory of the city. In 2021, Monchegorsk was awarded the honorary title "City of Labor Valor".
Today, 10 residents of the Arctic zone are implementing investment projects in the city. In 2021/2022, 8 residents of the Russian Arctic were registered with a total capital investment of 3,282.4 million rubles (2023 – 2 residents – 169.220 million rubles).
Thanks to the support of the Government of the Murmansk Region of tourism industry entities operating in the field of domestic and inbound tourism, 7 entrepreneurs of the city of Monchegorsk received a subsidy. As the head of the municipality noted, thanks to the coordinated work with the Government of the region, the Murmansk Regional Duma and the Kola MMC Monchegorsk is actively developing.
