2.5 billion rubles will be invested by ROSSETI North-West in the energy complex of the Murmansk region in 2025

During the working meeting, Governor Andrey Chibis and CEO of ROSSETI North-West Vyacheslav Torsunov discussed the development of the electric grid infrastructure and improving the reliability of electricity supply in the Murmansk region.

Andrey Chibis stressed that projects of strategic importance for Russia are being implemented in the Arctic and the Kola Arctic, so one of the key tasks is to ensure uninterrupted power supply.

"The Arctic is in the zone of special attention for us, our partners, and our enemies. Of course, our task is to ensure that all issues related to the maintenance of networks, modernization, and provision of high–quality energy supply are promptly resolved. We have been cooperating productively in this area for a long time. I am sure that, taking into account the existing developments, we will move forward so that everything works clearly and reliably. Of course, there are aspects that need to be discussed, including tariff issues and additional financing, including obtaining additional support for the reliability improvement program that we are working on with you and the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation. Next, we will update and form a plan for further work," said the head of the region.

Vyacheslav Torsunov said that in 2025, the financing of the investment and repair programs of ROSSETI North-West in the Murmansk region will amount to more than 2.5 billion rubles.

The power engineers will repair 149 km of power transmission lines, 30 transformer substations and 124 substations of 35-150 kV. In particular, the company will carry out major work on the 150 kV Nagornaya power supply center. This will increase the reliability of electricity supply to residents and industrial enterprises of the Monchegorsky district.

"We pay special attention to the development of the electric grid infrastructure and improving the reliability of electricity supply in the Murmansk region. On the one hand, this is due to the difficult polar climate, on the other hand, to federal–level projects that are being implemented in the region. I would like to note that ROSSETI North-West, together with the Government of the Murmansk Region, has developed a program to improve the reliability of electricity supply. We will send it to the Russian Ministry of Energy in the near future. We hope for the support of the region in coordinating the program at the federal level," Vyacheslav Torsunov said.
