40 projects of residents of the Russian Arctic zone and the ADZ have been implemented and put into operation in the Murmansk region

At an operational meeting in the regional government, the results of the work of the preferential regimes of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation and the ADZ "Capital of the Arctic" for the first half of 2024 were discussed.

Governor Andrey Chibis noted that as of July 1, 2024, 259 residents of the ADZ and the Russian Arctic were registered in the Murmansk region, almost 40 of whom registered their status in the first half of 2024. A package of federal laws on state support for entrepreneurial activity in the Russian Arctic entered into force in August 2020.

"The economic effect of their work has already amounted to 226 billion rubles invested in the economy of the Murmansk region, and five thousand seven hundred jobs. Among the implemented projects this year: a new crab vessel, an automated warehouse complex for storing frozen fish products. In a high degree of readiness: the Lavna coal transshipment complex, the Vitino seaport and oil depot, and others. We maintain the position of leaders in the number of residents of the Russian Arctic," the head of the region said.

Svetlana Panfilova, Minister of Arctic Development and Economy of the Murmansk Region, reported in more detail on the results of the work.
