Murmansk Airport increases the level of service by introducing modern solutions. Today, a new system, the teletrap, has been officially put into operation. All employees working with this equipment have successfully completed training courses and mastered working with the new product. The launch took place in stages: first, tests were carried out, checking the functionality of the system before starting operation.
"Now passengers are provided with a more comfortable landing directly inside the aircraft, bypassing waiting outdoors and the influence of the vagaries of the northern climate. The company plans to expand the airport complex, the total area of which, in the future, will be about 15 thousand square meters. m. The capacity of the airport complex is planned to be 800 passengers per hour. Taking into account the expansion, a third teletrap will also be installed. The second teletrap will be put into operation after the reconstruction of the platform," Oleg Starodubtsev, Acting Director, said. The new terminal opened on November 20, 2025. The area of the new building is more than 7.5 thousand square meters. Construction began in 2023.
