Within the framework of the working visit of the Murmansk Region delegation to Armenia, a meeting was held between Governor Andrey Chibis and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Armenia Sergey Kopyrkin.
The head of the Murmansk Region presented the economic, tourist, logistical advantages of the region and the projects being implemented. The parties discussed the prospects of joint work in various fields.
"There are currently more than 265 projects in the Murmansk Region's portfolio, in which they plan to invest more than 1 trillion rubles in the next 10 years. These are projects that will develop both the region and Russia," Andrei Chibis stressed.
The Governor separately noted that the Murmansk Region plays an important role in the realization of Russia's national interests in the Arctic and initiatives supported by President Vladimir Putin and the federal government are being actively implemented here.
"These are the development of lithium deposits, the implementation of the integrated development of the Murmansk transport hub and new tools for creating infrastructure for those who are already or will become residents of our territory of advanced development "Capital of the Arctic". The Murmansk region is developing, and we are ready to expand the geography of cooperation," the head of the region noted.
The year 2022 was marked by the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and the Republic of Armenia.
