A competition of tourist business projects for those who want to develop the Russian North has been launched. The organizers-the Monchegorsk Development Agency and RussiaDiscovery-invite everyone who has interesting business ideas.
"Individuals and legal entities from all regions of Russia can participate in the competition. The goal of the project is to give participants the opportunity to go from an idea to a ready-made solution. As a result of the selection, three winners will be determined, who will receive mentoring support from federal experts, as well as assistance in the step-by – step development of a business plan for bringing the product to market," said Alexander Eliseev, Chairman of the Murmansk Region Tourism Committee.
The ideas can be aimed both at the development of the city of Monchegorsk and at attracting external tourists: new tourist routes, the creation of a modern coffee shop, cultural events, the renewal of the hotel fund, eco-trails and panda parks, parking of campers-participants are not limited in their choice. You don't have to have your own business right now to apply.
"The competition of tourist business projects is strategically important for us, as it helps to increase the tourist attractiveness of the city and expands the opportunities of local entrepreneurs. We will provide professional assistance in drawing up a business plan and obtaining financing, which will significantly increase the chances of success of the projects, " said Daria Yarkova, head of the tourism direction of the Monchegorsk Development Agency.
Important condition: the winners must register a business in the territory of Monchegorsk.

On April 15, the expert council of the competition will select the finalists. On April 21, a presentation of the projects will be held and three winners will be named. The expert council and the jury will include experts from the fields of tourism, economics, territorial development, financial modeling, and marketing.
