Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation Maxim Oreshkin and Governor Andrey Chibis held a meeting with entrepreneurs of the Murmansk region

Maxim Oreshkin, Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation, and Andrey Chibis, Governor of the Murmansk Region, met with entrepreneurs of the region at the site of the Regional Management Center.

"There are always specific people behind any figure and project. You need to understand that these people care where they are going to move. There are decent brands in the Murmansk region. All projects are developing and moving forward, the growth rates are very high," Maxim Oreshkin stressed.

Representatives of small and medium-sized businesses were interested in brand development, expansion of existing sales and export markets, as well as marketing support services. One of the questions concerned the change of tariff rates for electricity for food trucks.

"Food trucks are actively developing in the region, including in BUT. We allocate grants to support them and not only. We have taken on the task of reviewing the locations of non–stationary trade facilities and bringing electricity to them or compensating for the costs of summing up, so that there are more and more such tasty and bright points, and they are accessible to residents and guests of the Murmansk region," the head of the region noted.

Another question concerned the organization of a contemporary art center on the territory of the sanatorium in Apatity with the possibility of hosting permanent and temporary exhibitions of works by Russian and foreign artists, premises for classes, development of children and youth. Maxim Oreshkin proposed to establish communication with the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation for the organization of further field exhibitions.

There was also a question regarding roadside service.

"A full-fledged road complex is operating in the Pechenga district. It is interesting not only for tourists. First of all, local residents asked for the opening of a gas station here at meetings. A distinctive feature of the road cafe is the menu, which presents Arctic cuisine with dishes of venison, salmon, cod and others. Within the framework of project financing, a similar complex will appear this year in Lovozera. In addition, a project is currently being developed to create a roadside service on the way to Teriberka, which is actively visited by our residents and guests of the region," Andrey Chibis said.

Maxim Oreshkin proposed to replicate the successful experience of organizing a roadside complex on federal highways.

Entrepreneurs also presented their proposals. They concerned the formation of competitive advantages of our region, namely the creation of a local goods store, the development of a training course on the principles of working with franchises, as well as the organization of master classes for children with the involvement of professional speakers and bloggers.

"A very useful conversation took place. In the course of communication, you discover new tasks, new ideas are born. One of these ideas was the possible financing of a local goods store in the Murmansk region. But first of all, entrepreneurs themselves should be interested in creating such a store. We, in turn, are ready to support this initiative," the governor added.
