The Murmansk Region, as the main port of the Transarctic transport corridor and the gateway to the Northern Sea Route, aims to form long–term partnerships with Chinese companies in various fields, from cargo logistics to the implementation of major projects.
During the session on the prospects of Russian-Chinese industrial cooperation in the field of shipbuilding and ship repair, Dmitry Titarenko, Deputy Minister of Arctic Development and Economy of the Murmansk Region, made a presentation on "Murmansk Region - the main port of the Northern Sea Route", in which he presented investment plans for the development of the region, support mechanisms, as well as possible areas of cooperation with Chinese partners.
"We continue to strive to develop our competitive advantages and are happy to invite all interested partners to invest in the Murmansk Region and the Arctic. We are ready to cooperate and discuss the possible participation of partners in the implementation of various projects, from the creation of new terminals and service infrastructure to the creation of production facilities in the promising direction of the Northern Sea Route," said Deputy Minister Dmitry Titarenko.
Also during the forum, Elena Nesterovich, First Deputy General Director of the Murmansk Region Development Corporation, highlighted promising areas for the region's development, its competitive advantages and opportunities for international cooperation.

The possibility of applying the procedure of a free customs zone is particularly attractive for foreign investors. Residents can freely import the equipment necessary for their work into the territory of their site without paying customs duties," said Elena Nesterovich, First Deputy General Director of the Corporation.
