The total test "Accessible environment" is a nationwide voluntary testing campaign initiated by the Academy of accessible environment project, where everyone can test their knowledge of the accessible environment and communication skills with people with disabilities.
More than 14,000 people from 72 regions of the Russian Federation took part in a similar test conducted in 2019 with the support of the presidential grants operator Fund for the development of civil society. Most of the participants are representatives of key areas of activity related to social infrastructure facilities, the organization of urban space, including barrier-free space, and the creation of a comfortable environment for citizens, including people with disabilities.
Key thematic blocks of the test: moral and ethical aspects of communication with people with disabilities; tips for providing situational assistance, as well as when accompanying clients with hearing, vision, musculoskeletal disorders, mental disorders; regulatory framework and an integrated approach to organizing an accessible environment.
The average test score is 60 percent correct. Most of all correct answers to questions from the block of situational assistance for people with visual impairment. The maximum number of incorrect answers was given on the issues of moral and psychological aspects of communication, the regulatory framework and the organization of available space. The main percentage of correct answers (from 70 percent and higher) was from representatives of the social services, administrative and office activities, health, culture and art.

The total test "Accessible environment" is planned to be held annually and is one of the main methods for evaluating the effectiveness of indicators of accessibility of facilities and services for people with disabilities for the Academy of accessible environment project.
