During the operational meeting, Governor Andrey Chibis announced the launch of an additional stage of the selection of the "Governor's Start", finalized in accordance with the proposals of its participants. This is the most sought-after grant competition for regional entrepreneurs, the self-employed, and those who are just planning to start their own business.
As the head of the region noted, the application procedure has been finalized, and relevant amendments have been signed to the decree regulating the competition.
"It is fundamentally important: now, within 15 working days after the completion of accepting applications, the operator will have the opportunity to return the application for revision if there are inaccuracies. The participant will have three working days to eliminate the comments. We are distributing 24.7 million rubles in the additional selection," said Andrey Chibis.
The maximum amount of the grant is still up to 2 million rubles for priority categories, for example, projects in remote areas and in rural areas, projects of participants of the SVO, initiatives from the tourism industry, projects to increase the birth rate, as well as initiatives identified by the national program "Live in the North!".
According to the results of the first selection in 2026, 17 initiatives were recognized as winners, to which about 25 million rubles will be allocated. In just six years of the Governor's Start program, over 190 projects have received financial support — the total amount of funding has exceeded 230 million rubles. This proves once again that the mechanism remains a sought-after and effective tool for the development of small and medium-sized businesses.
Detailed information is available on the resources of the regional Ministry of Tourism and Entrepreneurship, as well as the operator of the contest, the Murmansk Regional Innovative Business Incubator.
The start of the additional selection is on May 5.
