A bilateral meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Governor Andrey Chibis took place in Murmansk. The head of the Murmansk Region thanked the leader of the state for his attention to the region and support for a number of initiatives, including the renovation of the city, and also reported on the progress of work on infrastructure projects, instructions for which were given earlier.

"Thank you so much for the attention you pay to the Murmansk Region on all key issues. You have made a decision on gasification, supported it – the process has started; on the transport hub – today you saw with your own eyes how this powerful infrastructure project is being implemented. On lithium, which was also discussed at the last meeting, a process is underway, all decisions have been made, Norilsk Nickel and Rosatom have started work on the largest lithium deposit in Russia, Kolmozersky. And of course, what we discussed at the meeting today concerns the lives of servicemen and their family members. The decisions that were recorded are fundamentally important, for this a huge thank you from all the fighters. What we did as part of the renovation BUT in the previous four years, with the decisions that you have made today, it will be much easier for us to continue to actively implement. This is the modernization of housing, social facilities and communal infrastructure, the creation of more comfortable living conditions," the governor stressed.
