Excavation work has started on the construction site of the Kola Lights housing complex of the Airplane Group in Kola.
At the moment, the developer has already received permission for the construction of the first and second stages. Work has been carried out to prepare the construction site: fencing, entrance gates have been installed, road slabs have been laid for the construction headquarters, existing piles have been dismantled and the excavation has been filled in.
"The Aeroplane Group has started the active stage of implementation of its first project in the Arctic, the Kola Lights. Currently, we have selected a contractor for the construction and development of the excavation, and he has now started work. The construction of the first stage is scheduled to be completed in 2027," said Dmitry Vychegzhanin, Deputy Director for Construction of the Aeroplane Group project.
The first stage of the Kola Lights should consist of five buildings of 9-14-storey buildings designed to accommodate more than 1.5 thousand families. The total area of the housing stock is more than 90 thousand square meters. m. The developer also plans to design educational institutions, parking and bike paths for the new residential area.
"The main feature of the new residential quarter will be monolithic houses that are resistant to climate change, low building density with all the necessary social and commercial infrastructure, as well as modern landscaping of courtyards. This is the first project of this scale in 30 years, which is being implemented by a private developer in the Arctic," Dmitry Vychegzhanin recalled.
The government of the Murmansk Region has provided the company with a land plot and tax benefits for residents of the Russian Arctic. Separately, as part of the agreement with the company, the region undertook to provide the necessary engineering infrastructure in the microdistrict.
When carrying out work in the Stake, the developer plans to use modern technologies and materials. Thanks to the pile foundation, the structural load will be evenly distributed.
The project implementation agreement was signed with the government of the Murmansk Region in December 2023 on the sidelines of the Rossiya International Exhibition and Forum, and 8 months later, construction of the first residential complex was launched at the Kola construction site. The ceremony of laying the foundation stone was attended by Andrey Chibis, Governor of the Murmansk Region, and Alexander Prygunkov, Managing Partner of the Aeroplane Group. The volume of investments in the project will amount to 9 billion rubles.
