The Forum of Future Technologies will be held in Moscow on February 20-21. It will bring together representatives of science, technology and business from Russia and other countries. The polar companies engaged in the extraction of rare and rare-earth metals will take part in the forum.
"In the context of sanctions pressure, the Forum of Future Technologies is becoming particularly relevant. This is the most important platform for discussing issues of technological sovereignty and import substitution, to demonstrate the capabilities of Russian science and Russian companies that will determine the development of the industry of new materials and chemicals in the coming years. I am confident that the results of the forum will make a significant contribution to the development of the country's economy and improving the quality of life of citizens," said Svetlana Panfilova, Deputy Governor and Minister of Arctic Development and Economy of the Murmansk Region.
The forum participants will discuss the most important innovative areas and investment-attractive projects, key issues and prospects for the development of the industry of new materials and chemicals. The largest Russian corporations, high-tech enterprises and scientific organizations will present cutting-edge developments at the exhibition of technological achievements.
"The Future Technologies Forum is aimed at developing steps to ensure the innovative development of the industry to which it is dedicated. This is possible only if all the main actors in the industry are involved in the work – suppliers, manufacturers, experts, scientists. The discussions during the Forum will bring together participants from different sectors of the industry and will allow us to determine what is needed at each stage to ensure high–tech and innovation in the long term – these are not only investments in current projects, but also the development of basic industries, personnel training, improved regulation and other measures," commented the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation. Denis Manturov, Co-chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Future Technologies Forum.
Dmitry Chernyshenko, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation and Co-chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Future Technologies Forum, noted that a constant dialogue between science, business and the state is important in the development of key sectors of the economy. The Future Technologies Forum has been showing the results of such a dialogue for three years in a row – breakthrough technologies and projects in various industries.
The forum has been held annually since 2023 with the support of the Russian Government. Every year, a new technological field becomes the main topic, which has great potential and can ensure the technological sovereignty and leadership of the country.
