Within the framework of the project "Acceleration of small and medium-sized businesses" in the region, the direction of support for farmers and the development of rural cooperation is being successfully implemented by stimulating the development of peasant (farm) farms in rural areas of the Murmansk region.
Every year, beginning farmers are provided with Agrostartap grants at the expense of the federal and regional budgets to finance up to 90% of the costs associated with the implementation of the farm development project, information and consulting services and methodological assistance are provided.
"The support of the farmer movement, the formation of favorable conditions for the development of entrepreneurial activity in rural areas are priority areas for the development of agriculture in the region," said the head of the regional Ministry of Natural Resources Zinaida Sereda.
In the expired period of 2023, a grant was provided for the implementation of a project providing for the creation of a peasant (farmer) farm for growing strawberries in the open ground in the Lovozersky district of the Murmansk region, 4 seminars were organized and conducted, 183 individual consultations were provided, 19 information and consulting services were provided, 3 meetings of the Regional Competition Commission for the selection of projects for the creation and development of peasant (farm) farms.
