"Strengthening international cooperation in the new reality": Murmansk Region Development Corporation in the new "Investment Digest" tells about the events that positively influenced the investment attractiveness of the region in April-May. New issues of the collection are regularly published on the Investment Portal and include news related to the implementation of investment projects, as well as expert opinions and analytical data.

According to experts of the Development Corporation, the spring of 2023 turned out to be rich in events that attracted attention to the Murmansk Region at the federal level. First of all, this is due to the active work of the government team to establish international relations with friendly countries. In particular, in May, Governor Andrey Chibis, as part of a delegation led by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, visited the People's Republic of China, where he spoke about the prospects for cooperation with Chinese partners in the context of the development of the port of Murmansk as the beginning of the Northern Sea Route. And immediately after, an official visit took place, already to the Murmansk region, of the delegation of the Republic of Belarus.

"As a result of the work of the Belarusian team, cooperation agreements were signed on the territory of the region, including on the construction of a BelAZ repair and service center. In addition, Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Roman Golovchenko personally inspected the proposed locations for the construction of a future terminal for transshipment of export cargo. The joint work continues," Artem Kuksa, Acting Director General of the Murmansk Region Development Corporation, comments on the new issue of the digest.

In the spring, the positions of the Murmansk Region in a number of federal ratings became known. Thus, by the end of 2022, the growth of the Murmansk Region's foreign trade turnover increased by 55%, and the volume of exports increased by 60%. In addition, the Kola Polar Region has become one of the ten most socially and economically stable regions. And the volume of investments in the Murmansk region over the past 4 years has approached the "900 billion rubles" mark. In addition, by the beginning of summer, the register of residents of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation from the Murmansk region had increased to 194 projects, which is the largest number among all Arctic regions. And the number of jobs actually created by residents in the region exceeded the two thousandth threshold.

Last month, in honor of the three-year anniversary of the territory of advanced development "Capital of the Arctic", Murmansk schoolchildren and students visited the places of implementation of major investment projects, which was conducted by Governor Andrey Chibis. As a result, the guys were able to learn more about the production potential of the region, which, judging by the reviews, impressed them with its scale. "Comprehending new knowledge is the best thing that can be in life," said the participants of the tour.

Another landmark event was the coordination of the infrastructure of the Vitino port in the Kandalaksha district. The order on the organization of border, customs and sanitary supervision in the water area of the port was signed by Mikhail Mishustin.
