A Council for the development of Innovations will be created for the systematic coordination of the participants of the innovation ecosystem in the Arctic. This was announced by the governor Andrey Chibis today at a meeting with innovators of the region, held on the eve of the Day of the Inventor and Innovator. As the Governor noted, the Council will include not only representatives of science and higher education, but also representatives of large businesses.
"The creation of the Council is not a protocol story, I am waiting for a constructive response from its participants. Solutions should be as working, implementable and effective as possible, " Andrey Chibis stressed.
The participants of the meeting discussed the results of the foresight session of the working group created a month ago on the initiative of the governor to generate new ideas to support innovators. The results of the brainstorming session were presented by the director of the Murmansk Regional Innovative Business Incubator Denis Skryganov. Among the proposed support measures are the creation of a single platform for innovative projects, the organization of a platform for direct dialogue between innovators and potential partners, the provision of legal and patent support, etc.
The governor actively supported the idea of creating a regional technopark, which will provide the authors of the projects with equipped laboratory and production facilities and provide consulting assistance. According to the decision of the head of the region, such a center will be created on the basis of the Murmansk State Technical University.
Also, on behalf of the head of the region, systematic work will be organized to present industry-specific innovative products and solutions in the framework of working with investors and large production projects attracted to the Murmansk region.
During the meeting, innovative vouchers were presented to the winners of the next competitive selection: individual entrepreneur Sergey Fedotov, who presented a project of in-depth driver training using VR and robotics technologies aimed at reducing mortality in road accidents in the North, and the Bionics company, which developed an algorithm for obtaining protein fish hydrolysate from pelagic fish waste. Innovators will receive financial support from the regional budget in the amount of 250 thousand rubles. Recall that such a mechanism of state support for beginners and existing innovators has been operating in the Murmansk region since 2019. The funds of the voucher can be used to complete research and development work, create a prototype and register intellectual property rights, receive marketing and legal support, and train.
