Measures to support priority and strategic investment projects of the Murmansk Region are being implemented in the region. Olga Kuznetsova, Deputy Governor of the Murmansk Region, told about the results of the implementation of investment projects for the first half of 2023, which received state support in the region, at an operational meeting.
"In total, today there are 20 investment projects in the register, of which 13 are priority and 7 are strategic. The priority project provides for the volume of investments for entities whose main activity belongs to section B "Mining", or to class 24 "Metallurgical production" – more than 1 billion rubles, as well as for entities whose main activity is other types of economic activity – 100 million rubles or more. The strategic investment project provides for an investment volume of 10 billion rubles or more," the Deputy governor stressed.
Projects are being implemented in various sectors of the economy from industrial production to social facilities. To date, 13 projects have already been implemented, 7 are under implementation. Depending on the project, enterprises are provided with support measures in the form of a reduced corporate income tax rate, exemption from property tax, the right to lease land plots without bidding, the right to apply an investment tax deduction for income tax.
The total volume of investments in projects is about 400 billion rubles. Tax revenues to the consolidated budget of the Murmansk region for the period of project implementation amounted to more than 25 billion rubles. At the same time, the total amount of state support provided to the regional budget is estimated at 15.4 billion rubles.
"In accordance with the agreements concluded, more than 3,600 jobs have actually been created. The selection of investment projects is carried out taking into account the compliance of the investment project of the Murmansk region with the main directions of socio-economic development of the region, the availability of economic, budgetary and (or) social efficiency of the investment project of the Murmansk region, designed for the entire term of the agreement or contract," Olga Kuznetsova said.
The evaluation of projects for compliance with the above criteria is carried out by the Interdepartmental Commission for the Consideration of Investment Projects of the Murmansk Region, headed by the Governor of the Murmansk region.
