The Murmansk Region Development Corporation and MSTU signed a cooperation agreement, which implies joint training of young qualified personnel in terms of economic and investment development to work in the Arctic.
Within the framework of cooperation, this spring, fourth-year students will undergo a pre-graduate internship at the Murmansk Region Development Corporation. In a month and a half, the guys will learn more about the investment projects that are being implemented in the region and about the prospects for young professionals. Also, on their own experience, students will experience the specifics of investor support and the operation of the mechanism of public-private partnership.
"The Development Corporation has a young cohesive team focused on results. The employees came to the profession from completely different directions, and the guys are already at the university getting knowledge in a field that is actively developing today. There is a significant influx of investment projects in the Murmansk Region, so specialists in their implementation are needed more than ever," commented Artem Kuksa, Acting Director General of the Murmansk Region Development Corporation.
As a result of the internship, students will master skills that will help them in their professional activities. In addition, the knowledge gained will form the basis of theses.
"Students of the Innovation direction are future specialists in the field of economics, competent to support and manage innovative and investment projects. Our guys have learned the basics of business planning, and during practice they will be able to apply them in real life. We hope for fruitful work and scaling up of our cooperation," said the curator of the direction, Doctor of Economics Maya Chechurina.
It should be noted that this is not the first experience of cooperation between the Murmansk Region Development Corporation and the Murmansk State Technical University. At the end of 2021, MSTU investors held lectures for schoolchildren and students on the implementation of key projects in the Murmansk Region.
