Murmansk Region entered the TOP 10 regions in terms of socio-economic sustainability

The Russian regions are the leaders in socio-economic sustainability according to the results of a study by the Civil Society Development Fund. The Murmansk Region retains the ninth position in the rating, as in the previous quarter.

The study included 30 out of 85 Russian regions, the most developed in terms of economy and social development. The rating was based on three criteria: average salary, level of social well-being (the ratio of average salary to the minimum cost of living of one employee) and regional product per capita.

The top ten of the rating also included YANAO, NAO, Chukotka, Sakhalin Oblast, Moscow and KhMAO (shared fifth place), Magadan Region, Yakutia, St. Petersburg and the Komi Republic.
