The Regional Development Corporation has presented a new issue of the monthly "Investment Digest". The main event that attracted attention to the Murmansk region in July was the visit of President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin. The reason for the President's trip to the Kola Arctic was the launch of the first TSSKMS platform to the Gydan peninsula. The NOVATEK project has no analogues in the world, it will become a key object for the LNG industry being created in Russia.
During his visit to the region, Vladimir Putin held a meeting with Governor Andrey Chibis and supported the initiative for the development of support cities and settlements in the Arctic. The Head of State instructed to prepare master development plans for the main Arctic settlements by 2035 and to start implementing measures as early as 2025.
In July, the results of the implementation of 20 priority and strategic investment projects in the Murmansk region were summed up, including the creation of the Kola wind farm, the development of the capacities of the Kovdorsky GOK and others. So, 3.6 thousand jobs have been created, about 400 billion rubles of investments have been invested. And the tax revenues of investors exceeded 25 billion rubles.
In mid-summer, the register of residents of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation from the Murmansk region increased to 206 projects. New residents will build shops in Kirovsk and Murmansk, a tourist complex in Monchegorsk, a metal enrichment technology center, a roadside service complex and a quadroclub in Murmansk, as well as a rental point with a cafe on Lake Srednoye. According to the Minister for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic, Alexey Chekunkov, more than 700 projects are being implemented in the Arctic with state support, while 630 are being implemented with the help of the benefits of the Russian Arctic. Most often, entrepreneurs open catering enterprises: coffee shops, roadside service facilities, restaurants, including such unique formats.
