The development of offshore projects and the creation of high-tech infrastructure to support them were discussed today at the meeting by Governor Andrey Chibis and General Director of Gazprom Neft Shelf LLC Igor Rustamov.
"Thank you for your cooperation, active development and readiness to expand the relevant infrastructure. On the one hand, this is an investment, on the other-the creation of a base for servicing offshore projects will give an additional incentive to the development of the region and an opportunity for young people to self-realization, " Andrey Chibis said welcoming the participants of the meeting.
"We have a successful long-term cooperation with the Murmansk Region. Now Murmansk is the base port for ensuring the smooth operation of the Prirazlomnaya platform. This Arctic project is actively developing, and with it the infrastructure that supports it needs to be developed. We look forward to further fruitful cooperation in solving the challenges we face, " said Igor Rustamov, General Director of Gazprom Neft Shelf, thanking the government and the Governor personally for supporting the company's activities in the region.
During the meeting, the head of the region noted that the government of the Murmansk region with special emphasis on the "reset" Murmansk state technical University, in particular, is a large-scale reconstruction of the premises, purchases new equipment. The main goal is that the university should produce ready-made specialists for Arctic projects.
"One of the areas of cooperation that we have already developed is the development of the shelf. The better and more modern the infrastructure in the Murmansk Region, in the Kola Bay, the more new jobs there will be for northerners. A new stage of joint cooperation is highly likely to bear fruit, " the head of the region said.

Gazprom Neft Shelf LLC is the only oil company that produces oil on the Russian Arctic shelf. Since 2014, the company has been a subsidiary of PJSC Gazprom Neft.
